Newsletter: February 2026

🍃This month, our attention went to the calendar. Specifically, getting ruthless about what actually deserved a yes. We started time-blocking because we needed space to think. Not the kind of thinking that happens between back to back meetings. Real thinking that is long enough to actually finish a thought. And when we finally created that space, we had to sit with something uncomfortable. We had been running from one thought to the next for years without ever landing on any of them.

Every decision, every financial move, every growth conversation was happening in the margins of a calendar that belonged to everyone else but us. The clarity it takes to make smart financial decisions, lead your team, and plan for real growth cannot happen in the five minutes between calls.

So here is what we want you to take from this. Look at your calendar this week. If there is not a single block of uninterrupted time that belongs only to you, that is the first thing that needs to change. Because the most expensive decisions you will ever make are the ones you made without enough space to think them through.

Field trips missed, family dinners rushed, and vacations pushed to next quarter. We were building something meaningful and slowly missing our life in the process. Money can be replaced. Time cannot.

And at a million dollars in revenue, you have earned the right to stop sacrificing everything outside the business to keep it running. If we learned anything this month it is that the business will take everything you give it and still ask for more. Get the right people around you and protect what matters.

Financial Leadership for Holistic and Medical Practices: Why Your Team Needs to Be in the Room
The Multi-Clinic Supply Bleed: A Confession About Medical Inventory Management

A set of gold leaves on a white background.

A trusted employee stole an entire admin salary through fake hours.

This month, we got a call from a therapist who runs a group practice with five clinicians and has been in business for eight years. His office manager had been with him since day one and helped him build everything he had. Scheduling, billing, and payroll all ran through her.

By the time he called us, $42,000 had walked out the door in overtime that never happened and hours that never existed.

That is an admin salary. The first thing he said was I trusted her, and we told him that trust was not the issue.

🚩 The Red Flag: The issue was that one person had the key to everything with nobody checking her work and nobody asking questions. Pull three months of payroll and match the hours to your schedule. That is where you start.

Unchecked authority is an open invitation for fraud.

Running a health and wellness business takes heart, intuition, and grit,  but it also takes clarity.

That’s why we created industry-specific e-books for medical spas and aesthetic practices, holistic and medical clinics, day spas and massage therapists, chiropractic and wellness centers, yoga and Pilates studios, mental health counseling and specialized therapy, fitness and gym centers, physical therapy and rehab clinics, and dental practices. Each guide tackles the stuff you’re dealing with. The cash flow stress. The bookkeeping gaps. The operational chaos. The fraud risks that slip into busy, fast-moving wellness businesses.

Choose the e-book that matches your world and the way your business actually runs. Let it meet you exactly where you are,  whether you’re scaling, stabilizing, or finally ready to understand your numbers.
