Newsletter: July 2026

For healthcare practice owners building businesses that support the life they want to live. 🌱

Every July, my husband and I pack our bags for our annual couples’ trip, and long before we leave, I’m looking forward to the conversations more than the destination. We return every year for the same reason: the people.

Whether we walked into an escape room, gathered around the dining room table, or settled into a restaurant, every space was filled with conversation. One story sparked another, someone remembered something from years ago, another person added their version, and before long, the whole room was laughing. There wasn’t an agenda, a deadline, or a reason to rush through the moment.

More than once, I found myself sitting back and listening instead of talking. Being around people who know your history, celebrate your successes, laugh before you even finish the story, and remind you who you are outside of your profession is a gift.

Most of my days are spent helping healthcare practice owners strengthen cash flow, improve profitability, and make informed financial decisions. Financial statements tell me how a business is performing, but weekends like this remind me why the business exists in the first place.

Life isn’t a line item. The freedom to spend time with family, friends, and the people you love will never appear on a balance sheet, yet it may be one of the greatest returns a successful business can provide.

Profitable but No Cash: Why Your Practice Has Money Problems

A California physician was convicted in a $45 million Medicare fraud scheme involving false medical billing claims for Botox treatments. Investigators found billing records that did not match patient documentation. The discrepancies exposed a healthcare fraud scheme within the medical practice.

When medical billing, patient documentation, and financial reports stop aligning, I start asking questions. Healthcare practice owners who review their revenue cycle, monitor financial statements, and maintain strong internal controls are better positioned to identify fraud risk before it becomes a costly financial or compliance issue.

Running a health and wellness business takes heart, intuition, and grit,  but it also takes clarity.

That’s why we created industry-specific e-books for medical spas and aesthetic practices, holistic and medical clinics, day spas and massage therapists, chiropractic and wellness centers, yoga and Pilates studios, mental health counseling and specialized therapy, fitness and gym centers, physical therapy and rehab clinics, and dental practices. Each guide tackles the stuff you’re dealing with. The cash flow stress. The bookkeeping gaps. The operational chaos. The fraud risks that slip into busy, fast-moving wellness businesses.

Choose the e-book that matches your world and the way your business actually runs. Let it meet you exactly where you are,  whether you’re scaling, stabilizing, or finally ready to understand your numbers.
